Protein skimmer and UV sterilizer

So I have a 40B with a 20gal sump I was wondering what kind of protein skimmer and UV sterilizer should I get

I cant speak on the UV but I use this skimmer for IOAOI :


I actually switched from a more expensive skimmer to this one as it is much quieter and works just as well.

I also have the exact same setup btw

Tunze 9410dc skimmer would be my choice.
15 watt Aqua Ultraviolet UV unit would also be my choice.

Had that same setup years ago and ran a ReefOcto INT110, it did work. In terms of UV, I’d probably put a 15 watt AquaUV, or scratch the UV altogether.

Bubble Magus Cure 5 Elite. Takes a while to break in but once it does it works great.

Depends on what you want it for, but I pulled my UV offline. I didn’t see any water difference. In terms of disease management, I believe it’s out for debate. I’d rather encourage healthy fish with a variety of foods, and water quality.

Curve 5 will work perfect! I don’t care for uv so I can’t help you there.
