Hi all, I own a Tunze 9002 protein skimmer in a Biocube 29, Im wondering how to now get rid of the micro bubbles it has started pumping into my tank??

If you just fired it up, it should only last a few hours. Or you could put a black sponge on the return pipe.

Yeah i use ro water. Water bubbles are getting better. Prolly wont go away totally but we will see in the am. So after running for about 5 hours now this is what the cup looks like. I dont see any dark tea like stuff though.

The reason i asked is because some of the dechlorinators over activate skimmers causing a bunch of micro bubbles

Looks like its getting down to running normal now. You will see the foam at the top start to get darker as the day goes on. Looks good.

awesome good to know :).. now if tomorrow the tank bubbles are not gone what other options do i have with a TUNZE 9002 inside a 29 BC?

Could raise the skimmer up a bit. Or put that sponge on the return. Once it settles in I think you'll be ok though. My new skimmer settled in only after a few days, so a used one should do it in a few hours.

hello all, Just a quick update... the micro bubbles have rid them selves of my tank.. I moved the skimmer up about 1/4 inch and the water is crystal clear, so thank you all for the advice and help :)
