Protein skimmer choice

Finally upgraded to a larger tank, started with 20 gallon IM two years ago to 40 gallon cube last year and now to RSR 525 xl. I am debating protein skimmer and am looking at bubble magus curve elite 7 vs 9. Any recs would be appreciated

I don't have experience with either of those skimmers, but they would probably both work depending on how you plan to stock the new tank, and how much room you have for a skimmer in your sump. In general, I would lean towards the bigger skimmer as long as it will fit and you are planning to stick the tank with more than just a few fish. Also helps so that your skimmer will work on a (future) larger tank upgrade.
