So I used this RO110 on my previous tank. I never cleaned it when I got out the hobby and it just sat. I cleaned everything a month ago and have it all hooked up and running. It is sitting in 7" of water and has been on for 6hrs. I know there is a break in period but it did not do this last time I used it. It is constantly overflowing and I have the valve closed all the way and it's still overflowing. Any more open and it goes crazy. Any thoughts? Maybe try raising water level? It was at 7.5" for an hour and did same thing.
I have a video but can't figure out how to post it from my phone.

So I'm not sure what else to do. My skimmer has been going crazy for a week now. Its sitting above the recommended water level and the valve is all the way open so idk why it's still going crazy like it is. Any ideas anyone?

You say you have the valve "closed" all the way. The valve should be open to let more water out of the skimmer. This may be your problem.

I cleaned mine about two weeks ago and mine did the same thing. Took about a week to get straight. Mine was also an RO 110. I got tired of fighting with it and let it overflow until it straightened itself out. Never has taken that long before. Good Luck

Did you add anything to the tank to make it go crazy? Has it been a while with no skimmer and I mean like a week or more?

Tank is brand new setup. Dry rock, live sand, it was running a week before I put in skimmer. Only thing added to tank besides the salt was a bottle of Smart Start instant cycle bacteria (wife bought it not me lol)

Ok so new tank will take some time to break in. If possible add some carbon to help take out anything that is in the tank causing skimmer to be crazy. Or raise skimmer up pretty high collect some of the over flowing water the skimmer puts off and replace it with fresh mixed salt water. It will eventually stop after you get the smart start and the new tank broken in.

I'm all out of egg crate but had glass panels from a 29g I broke down so I made 2 4"x4" squares for it to sit on so its probably around 6.25-6.5" out of water. I know to be patient I just didn't realize it would take so long for it to break in

This happens to me when my water rises too high. Bring your water level down and see what happens.

If it doesn't fix itself in a few days I'll raise it more. It's already almost an inch above the manufacturers recommended minimum level.
