protein skimmer(dark liquid in collection cup)

I've noticed a serious darkening of the liquid in the collection cup of my bubble Magnus curve 5.

I'm assuming this is because I've been dosing microbacter and microbial culture from brightwell aquatics.

Should I be concerned about my liquid being overly dark?

Nope - darker = getting the good stuff! Mine is almost green-black and it stinks to high Heaven.

personally I like seeing dark. Its proof that the skimmer is working efficiently

Wife had issues with the tank being in the living room. Told her this stuff don't stink and it's only pulling protein outta the water, hence the name protein.

While there is no certain color to notate abnormal liquid, this coloration may be from the foods fed especially if pelleted foods.
The fact that it is collecting is good as this would be lingering in tang had it not been fractionated by skimmer

Good luck. Everytime I empty the brown stuff from my protein skimmer, it smell like gas leak

PS you want to turn if the skimmer when dosing these if you aren't already

Lighter skim typicaly equals wet skim.
Darker skim typicaly equals dryer skim.
This my 9430dc with a weeks skim. Very dark but it is pulling a light load. Its pullimg skim from my 30g fuge. I took down the 120 and a 80g is in its place but only salt water so far.
When my 120 was full it pulled that much skim a day.
