Protein skimmer for 40 breeder

Getting a lot of surface film my tidal 55 isn’t catching. Which I don’t expect it’s just a hob filter with that “added accessory” I do have surface agitation but I want to know what would be the best ideal skimmer for a 40 breeder hang on. Thanks for all the help.

I know mine is overkill but I use a lifereef VS3 24 with mazzei and a DCP 8000 on mine.

They do have a HOB option BTW but it's friggin huge.

It’s not hang on, it’s in tank, but I’m a huge fan of the Tunze 9004DC. No sump required.

That’s what I was looking at but I’ve seen they are hard to get ahold of right now
