Protein Skimmer for Nano Cube 12

Hello! I am looking for a skimmer that can fit inside a 12 gallon nano cube. It hasn't been modded at all and still has the stock LED hood. I know that skimmers in a tank this small aren't very good or even necessary, but every bit of filtration helps and I'm wanting to start using NOPOX...

All I've found through searching are skimmers that require mods (such as removing the hood) or people just saying to stick to water changes. Any help would be appreciated!
