Protein skimmer has leak. I need solutions!

No, that stuff is junk and we never use it for water tight purposes. it dries brittle and to a thin profile, also traps a lot of air.

It works - I've repaired skimmers and sumps with it and it's what LifeReef uses for all acrylic product builds. I wouldn't use anything else.

That is incorrect. lifereef does not use 16 on all of their acrylic products.

Ok, Jeff helped me with a repair and said that he uses this on many items. I repaired a broken LifeReef overflow and he machined the piece of acrylic and sent me that and a tube of this to do the repair. It's still in service.

I understand but you said "all acrylic product(s)". that is simply not true. also think about what's being fixed here. this is basically going to hold the weight of the skimmer. wo 16 is easiest for someone to use who has no acrylic experience, but it doesn't mean it's the correct tool for the job.

I've been fabricating acrylic goodies for over 10 years. I learned my lesson with wo 16 a long time ago. I never use the stuff now.
