looking to find a good hob protein skimmer for my 40 gallon breeder tank. Eventually upgrading to a sump but as of now a hob works best with my setup. Also just so you jus know, the tank will have live sand and rock (currently in the process of starting the tank). I’m looking at the reef octopus BH50, as it’s a reputable company and reasonably priced, but I’m wondering if it will be strong enough for my tank once I have an established ecosystem with fish and invertebrates. If anyone has recfomendations on skimmers thatd be great. Trying to keep my cost reasonable as well, but I know you gotta pay more to get more sometimes.
