So my tank has been running a little over a month and ive never had a problem with my skimmer, today i got from the store and noticed the skimmer overflowing with bubbles. Does anyone know what this is? I have the Reef Octopus Classic 110-INT Needle Wheel Protein Skimmer

That^
And check the air line for blockage. Especially right down on the venturi which attaches to pump

It takes a while to " break them in".
Its usually a wise idea to let the skimmer run full bore with the drain plug removed when you first install in your system.
When the bubbles subside is a good indication of when its ready to be tuned.
Ive had it running since i set up the tank at the start of august
this is just the first time its happened

It took me months to get mine dialed in. If you started it when you set up the tank there wasn't anything nutrient wise for it to really work off of.

I have this skimmer and have been running it for a year. Personally I would not recommend it to anyone. its super hard to dial in, the pump housing on mine cracked and I have no idea how, and it’s suuuuuper finicky about water level. Check out Brs TVs recent skimmer video, this skimmer has like a half inch window for water level where it will skim effectively. Elevating mine to that range helped a lot but I still can’t get it to skim quite right... either it skims wet, or gunks up the neck but doesn’t collect much in the cup.
