Protein skimmer help

Hello friends, I have an issue, a problem issue with my protein skimmer Bubble Magus Curve 7, maybe you saw the latest post I made. Now I'm really brainwashed with this skimmer. Very frustrated. I need a change, what protein skimmer do you recommend me to buy that really strip off water from nutriments for my 100g reef tank ???????????

I am so sorry for the difficulties that you are having. For what it is worth, I use a Skimz and am pleased with the performance and tunability.

Haven’t used a Bubble Magus or a skins so can’t speak for those but I feet dedicated to Reef Octopus for so some reason only because they are fairly priced and are work horses in my eyes. But you’ll get a mixed review for skimmers!!

My last internal was a Regal 150INT 6" that was DC. Speed control was nice. It was on a 125 with about 6 fish.
I have never used Bubble Magus Curve skimmers so can't help on that.

When i purchased it was excellent 8 months ago. After a month it begins to decrease its strength, now i pushing it to 1 and it has no strength to skim. I clean the cup every day and the whole skimmer every month. The neck becomes black with sludge but the cup remains empty. I tried to deepen the skimmer to 10", 11" even 12" but with no results. My nutriments climbed up and my No3 and Po4 explodes. He's not excreting nutrients from my tank

Close the recirculation knob more, mine is about 85% closed.

When i have done that it skims for a while and then the cup remains empty. I adjust it well i go to sleep and in the morning instead of finding something in the cup i find it empty

How long are you letting it go for before messing with it? Sometimes mine doesn’t collect anything for 2-3 days after I clean it. It works best when it’s a little dirty.

You're right, but now I'm on carbon dosing and i don't succeed with it. It does'nt skim wet.
