Protein skimmer micro bubbles?

hey all,
My tank is very new and I just turned the protein skimmer on and it has micro bubbles coming out of it. I adjusted the skimmer so that the outtake has no restrictions and the valves open the whole way. See attached photo. Pls help thank you!

Give it some time to break in, need to get a layer of some biofilm on it. Did you wash it out with vinegar and water before putting in tank? If not there may be some residue from the manufacturing process. It will probably go crazy and overflow before it starts skimming properly too.

Just give her a little while, they call it a breaking in period for a reason mine took a week to break in and about a month before there were less bubbles. I love having it in my sump with baffles after my fuge to break any micro bubbles before they ever get to my DP
