Protein skimmer no bubbles

Hi reefers,

I have a BM G9 protein skimmer for over a year. Today i cleaned my sump and the skimmer. But there were no bubbles when i turned it back on. Please help.

Did something get in and clog the air line while you were cleaning it? Can you hear the pump running?

Possible. Yes the pump is running but only water is shooting up, no bubbles.

Sounds like something is blocking the airline then. I would take each piece of it apart and try to find what's in there.

I have had precipitant build up at the end of the airline right where it mixes with water before the needlwheel for instance.
