Hi everyone. I did my first water change today. After getting out about 5 gallons i turned the power off to my system and took out and replaced 13 gallons in my 65 gallon tank. I turned everything back on, cleaned my collection cup and plugged skimmer back in and it is not producing any bubbles anymore. It fills up with all water theres no bubbles or foam popping up like before. Anyone experience this before to know what i must of messed up? Its very new. Only been running 2-3 weeks.

Blow through the air intake tube.. is it open?
If you cant blow air through it then time to check the pump intake

He states its not producing bubbles :-)
No air

Make sure your air intake is open and free of debris. You likely spilled water into the silencer and now it needs cleaned out, could be salt creep as well.

I assume he means there is no bubbles (frothy foam) popping at the top into the collection cup. That is normal after a water change....like vic5hands stated, takes time to build up another foam head. If there are 0 bubbles at all in the water, than that is a different issue.

Thanks! Thats what it was. I had gotten water in the air line thingy. Blew it all out and its working now. However, nowni uave millions of microbubbles coming out. Nwver had any before. Something else must be not quite right.

Yes I had same problem with my Red Sea max 250 I found out that the air hose was trapped between the hood so I pulled it out and hey presto skimmer works
