protein skimmer over flow

could anyone please tell me why my protein skimmer keeps over flowing tried everything but nothing

no its been with me for about 8 months when it over flow i have to turn it off because it drains my fishtank

you have to play with the dial. Once you figure out the point at which it overflows, you just learn to use very small inputs to turn the knob. Keep the micro bubbles way under the collection cup neck to start and skim very dry to start.

minutes after i turn it on tried it with a full tank took some water out to see if it would work but nothing

my skimmer has a dial from 1-10 even on 1 it overflows

If the air is clogged somehow it will just push water up. Mine just overflowed after i dosed phyto today lol.

What skimmer is it?

Check the Venturi. If it’s clogged with salt deposits, that could be causing the issue.

Theres a review on amazon that goes through a couple issues and if its not set right it just overflows.

It doesnt look like too many happy people with that skimmer. Might have less headache with a better one
