Protein skimmer/ polyps

Hi everyone, I was hoping someone would know why my skimmer cup is clear. Also what are the little strings coming off my polyps? Thanks for any info!

At times for the lack of woulda Zoas poop but keep a eye on them incase they close up for a day or so them a different concern there may be.
As far as your skimmer how long has it been running and do you have a picture of it.

I'm not sure what you're asking. The skimmer has been running for 14 months straight. Nothing new being added.

At times if I use a different food or add certain additives my skimmer will stop skimming for a few hours.

I added additional LEDs of a certain type and my skimmer went crazy for two days.
