Protein Skimmer problem

Hey guys!

So I've had my HOB protein skimmer running now for almost 6 months and these last few days it has been giving out a bunch of microbubbles im not sure as to why it started to do that...i also did a water change today of the tank and it got even worse. Can't really seem to find a solution, if anyone could help?
