Protein Skimmer Producing Bubbles in Tank

Could use some advise on my fluval protein skimmer that is producing lots of bubbles in my tank. Is this because the tank is so new? It’s been set up 5 days. Too early to have it on? Thanks everyone! I have a Fluval Flex 32.5 salt tank.

The fluval skimmers take a bit to break in. You can put some filter floss by the outlet of the skimmer to reduce the bubbles.

Also, you can remove it and put into a bucket of water and citric acid to get rid of oils and break it in.
