In my leaky SR80 i have a IM ghost skimmer. i would look into that. i think there is smaller models. i dont know what the rear size is on the SR60.

You can probably get away without one tbh. I have an IM50 AIO without one, although I do have a small refugium in one of the back chambers.

i rarely run mine. im not right now bc of the pending upgrade.

Welcome to Reef2reef. IceCap, Tunze or Bubble Magus are all good choices for a tank your size. You can try to ask this in the equipment forum as this is more for the chemistry side of the hobby. Over there you might get more options and experiences.

Avoid the IM skimmers like the plague. They are quite possibly the worst-designed nano skimmers, with poor performance any abysmal failure rates.

Well that explains a ton about some of my issues with my skimmer.

I run 2 tunze in my SR80. Because there's room and because none of the drop in types work very well.

FWIW, I do not have any specific skimmer recommendations, but IMO, aeration is an important aspect of why I recommend them, and using it in a way that minimizes aeration (say, as full recirc with a CO2 scrubber) is not optimal, IMO.
