With hangs on skimmer you cant do alot with the bubbles, try to put a spong on the outlet of the skimmer

Here is the one I got

It will take a few days to start working maybe it will be good, just try the spong thing

Turn the air valve to off. Let it sit for a few days. Do a 1/2 turn each day until you get the right level of skimming. Unfortunately this is part of the HOB skimmer. I have one and love it now that I mastered it, and not the other way around. Lol

Brand new skimmers, of any type, have a break in period, and during this period you will get micro bubbles and overflows, best to set the skimmer on its lowest setting, and let it run its break in.

[emoji106] yes otherwise you could wake up to a mess if it breaks in over night!

I have a Reef Octopus HOB skimmer. Any time I turn it off to do a large water change and then turn it back on, I get micro bubbles for the first few hours, but they eventually clear up.
