Protien skimmer air

should i use more ir less air i dont seem to be foaming all the time and usually only get about 3 teaspoons when it does i keep adjusting it but im lost in which direction is preferred.

First off, what skimmer do you have? With my current skimmer in my 90DT (SWC160), I open the air valve all the way and adjust foam formation with the exit valve only. With the Tunze 9004 in my nano, I do need to use the pinch valve for air to adjust foam formation....and when dialing it in, it's just a hair-turn to get it right.

I usually run a longer airline from air silencer (depending on your model you might have one too) out and up from under my stand to suck some better air.

Its a seaclone 100 i only have one air valve i have tried it all positions i just had to replace the impeller last week
