hey guys/gals,
i've seen my green and brown in my day but this thing is different. red outer, gold/green inner and green middle. This shot was 14k halides only. no led, T5, or actinics. anyone?

is a button polyp the same thing as a proto? looks alike

yeah proto button i think is the same. i have em growing in my tank (hate them) but i snagged these because they're "different". they're pretty bright but for some reason my work screen makes em look like crapola.

No these are the button polyp-style protos that have a name. Ive seen them fs before,but I can not put my finger on the name!

In my experience, the white speckling is a result of the lighting, so I would say green button polyps with white speckles. I don't doubt that some one has named them though.
