Just want everyone to take some time to think.... I came home on this cold snowy evening and my son and I took a look at our 29g and found the water level at the rim! So we look at the water level of the ato bucket and saw that it was just about empty! So we unhook the autoaqua micro. Then we siphon out 2.5 gallons of tank water, then hook the ato back up and it’s just running constantly again after I placed the sensor under the water level.

We look at the sensor and it has coralline algae on it obstructing the eye....
make sure to keep an eye on your sensors!!!!!!! Especially if you have them placed in your display!

As far as the tank, it’s at 1.023, so we are going to slowly bring it back up and I think we might just evaporation take care of the smaller part of the job....

Good luck guys and happy reefing!

Thank you for the important reminder! The AutoAqua is a good ATO and like all of our pumps, lights, and skimmers, the ATO also needs to be on the regular preventative maintenance list.

Thanks for heads-up. I'm certainly guilty of being complacent from time to time. I casually check my sensors here and there, but I'll heed your advice and be a bit more thorough with my inspections.
