Have any of you ever looked at the tank and found the water to be cloudy? I did today. I kinda freaked out since I did some work on the tank yesterday and thought I messed something up. That was highly unlikely since I just stirred up the sump a bit to remove the detritus, via my filter roller and a small pump, and didn't turn the return pump back on until the water was clear. It didn't make sense for it to be a bacterial bloom since I have a UV sterilizer with a relatively new bulb. I thought maybe it was the glass, but I cleaned it and it was still cloudy. I thought maybe the light was too intense and that could have been causing it, but I ruled that out with a par meter (top of the tank is around 300-325). I decided to leave it alone since the corals looked fine. This is also how I deal with my life problems. I walked by the tank later and it was clearing up, but still a little cloudy. That's when I saw it. A plume of unadulterated love potion #9 coming from the snails. The scent of teenage hormones was in the air; I just thought it was gas. The acne ridden beasts, with shells appearing harder than normal, must have caught a whiff of love in the air and started going at it. You'd think they'd wait for the lights to dim later, but when the mood strikes...

PSA people: Sometimes cloudy water is the result cupid striking.

Wait a second...they're at it again. How often do ya'll get snail spawning? Hoping there will some babies in the sump as a result of the frequency.
