That's surprising to me. I haven't ever seen anything that would sting come out of my Lobo other than the very short feeder tentacles.

These hyper-aggressive corals are typically not a 'Lobo', but are an 'Acan' (Acanthastrea pachysepta):

Certainly can have them, but are much less aggressive than A. pachysepta.

If you put a Pachy next to a Lobo, bye-bye Lobo...

Sweeper tentacles in action

Those are not Lobophyllias, they are Acanthastrea pachyseptas. Also, those things coming out of the pachyseptas are coral guts, not sweeper tentacles.

Lobos are well known for having sweepers

Most Lopophyllias with sweeper tentacles are actually pachyseptas.
