Puffer discoloration

Hi, my name is Roman and i joined today. I have red in the past some post which were helpful to me. So I purchased a 160 gl tank (never had a fish tank before ‍♂) and i had several problems which i learned from them. Unfortunately these problems were at a high cost and also from getting wrong advises. Anyhow, yesterday i woke up to my puffer having a weird discoloration around his mouth. U can see in the pics at his normal stage and then how she looked as pf yesterday. Today i did a water change about 50 gls. Any idea of what could have cause this?

Yes, that does look like a bacterial infection. Best antibiotic for infections of the head is a mix of Sulfaplex + Neoplex. Treat for 10-14 days.

I did a recent post (search "Valentini Puffer") about my otherwise healthy puffer who experienced something similar -- was dead two about days later; so sorry to say you might want to act fast. Best wishes.

Ty. I actually red you post. Sorry about ur puffer. It was late yesterday and near me i dont have a store that sales good items for salt water fish tanks.
