Hello all caught this guy the other day "Monday " 3-29-16.
Can someone help me identify this pufferfish. It's kinda a bad picture will try to get a better one later. I'm curious because he / she has these soft spines under side near its anus. One of the spines kinda looks like a "foot" per my 8 yr old son. The spine is forked at the tip. Basically looking for identification of this one and if that's normal or has the chemicals from the bp oil spill clean up caused a mutation? image.jpeg

Similar but no very or extra long spikes near the eyes I'll get a better picture in the am when my lights are on. Thank you

There are two differences I see one is no long spikes above mines eyes like in other pics and this guy has two very long spines that are kinda flexible near its anus those dont

Wow I've never seen a puffer like it! Looks like a box puffer crossed with a Stars and Stripes puffer!

It's a striped burrfish. Not a porky. They are very prone to ich and are loaded with parasites. Did you deworm it?

No I didn't actually two of my Australian stripes are beating it up very badly. Funny thing is they are supposed to be very peaceful fish and reef safe but they are worse then my clowns and large damsels
