Puffer fish suffering/Skin

So I have a question. This might seem silly or stupid to some. But puffer fish get skinned... Doesn't the fish and the skin feel excruciating pain? I mean this might be call it a vision but just suppose God was a puffer fish or posing as one and his skin was someone he really cared about and they took a knife to his skin and cut it and boiled it the way they do isn't that evil? I feel bad for their skin. What exactly do they do to the skin afterwards? Does the skin die? Thanks in advance to all who answer
