I want to add a few coral to an aggressive tank with puffers. What can I get away with? I have a porcupine, a stars and stripes and a dog face puffer in there currently.

Here is what I have around that I'm thinking about trying out. Please let me know if any will not work; Bubble Tip Anemone, Yuma, Discosoma, Hollywood Stunner, GSP, Encrusting Gorgonian, Purple Stylo, Kenya Tree.

Any coral not listed here that I might get away with?

Thanks

My porcupine puffer doesn't really bother any corals or anemones. I just have to add them when he is sleeping or eating so he doesn't rush over too it. 2 or 3 times he's grabbed a small frag and dropped it on the sand but that's it, no damage. The only thing I'd be concerned with would be a large branching sps coral as he might bite a piece like he does occasionally with live rock.

Anecdotally and tangentially, (;Pompus) I just put a 3 head caulastrea frag in a tank with a GSP last night and the puffer's ignored it for the most part. But losing a coral to a puffer is always a risk that you should be prepared for IMO. And possibly losing a puffer to a coral (if it's highly toxic), but I've never read anyone that had that experience.

Well I just ate my words. Did my best to clean some green hair algae off of some new corals and figured my tangs would eat the rest. Unfortunately whatever my tangs nibble at the puffer has to try as well. Lost 2 candy cane heads.

I don't keep puffers, but my GSP grows like crazy. Probably wouldn't hurt it if it got grazed.
