I recently decided to switch my lights from 2x Kessil A360WE to 2x Radion Xr30 Pros. I was running my Kessils at 100% for my mix reef (SPS mainly on top), and I was wondering when I get these lights in from the mail, what percentage should I set them at to start? I was thinking 30-35%. Thoughts?

I am really new to all this, since Kessil didn't have this much control. How does each LED setting function towards coral?

Blue
white
red
green

etc etc. Which ones matter the most?

Do you have a controller? I just switched from a kessil on my cube to the XR15. With the apex you have the ability to set it at different kelvins. I ramp from 10k up to 20k and back down so I don't have to worry about setting each individual color. Someone on a different forum suggested this as it gives all the different corals the lighting they like throughout the day. Everything in the tank seems to be responding very well. I liked the XR15 so much I went with 3 Xr30s for my 175 build I'm in the middle of right now.

Without a controller I think most people don't use much red / green at all. When I had my AI Vega's I kept those two colors down around 15% I think...it's been 3 yrs since I had those...can't remember exactly.

I don't know what your after, but I find it hard to believe that two 360's isn't enough light for any coral in that tank or is there just something about the Kessil's that you just don't like. especially running at 100%. I'm considering replacing my two Chinese fixtures with two 360's on my 120 gal. softie/lps reef. no sps' but I wouldn't be running them very high. you can get a Kessil controller for 100.00 or use an Apex.

Kessil's are great, I just wanted a little more customization in color etc etc. So after speaking with a lot of friends, and research, Radion was one of the top ones for color / growth, outside of T5 / MH.
