Pulling outside air with lifereef skimmer?

I’ve always kept my basement window slightly cracked so some fresh air is getting in regardless if my AC is running and circulating air. Though I’m still between 7.8-8.04. I’d like to get it up higher and have wondered about the scrubbers but don’t want yet another monthly expense to replenish CO2 scrubber media.
