What is the best way to get rid of some PX from your aquarium. My chemistry is good and I don’t want to upset the Apple cart. Cut them at the base? If so how many at a time? I want to keep most but want to control them off my other Coral.

Xenia is very invasive. I thought I could control it but failed. I was pruning them every two weeks and I’m almost positive that helped it spread. Have to turn off the flow and try to remove them from the base without any excess flesh floating to other parts of your tank. Best thing to do is keep it on its own rock and leave it alone and away from other rocks where it can attach and spread. I pulled my tank apart to get rid of it.

You can put it on the back wall as well if you like. It doesn’t grow down only up. Just make sure to cut it back if it gets heavy or it’ll drop off babies. Lots of fish stores can’t get this stuff in so you could conceivably trade it for something you actually want.
