Pulse 2 Mounting Question

Reef Octopus Pulse 2 Magnet Question-
Is it safe to put the mounting magnet inside of my overflow box? It is just the best place in my system to mount the pump and I prefer not having magnets on my tank showing on the outside (I have a 4 year old)

I have the pulse 4. I wouldn’t put the outside magnet in the tank. That magnet was not designed to sit in the saltwater and I would be worried it would corrode extremely fast and leach what ever it’s made of into the water.
