I just tossed some in my tank and for about a week they looked fine, came home from work and they were all closed.

Freaked out for my other corals (which are fine)

Parameters are fine and havent moved, the other corals are stable

Is my water too clean? Or is this a sign that they are splitting :o

They have a mind of their own. Mine over a 2 year period have multiplied over and over. Sometimes they stay closed for a week. Some months they will decline in numbers and the next month will double in numbers. I started with a small frag that had maybe 5 xenia. I have given and thrown away at least a 5 Gallon bucket full. I would not worry until they have not looked good for at least 3 days, unless the are shriveling away. They seem do better in less than perfect water.

I used to like xenia and thought they were pretty cool... I'll bet you their just fine. They spread like wild fire and even when you try to kill them they just keep coming back. I'm convinced after a nuclear war only two things will continue to exist cockroaches and... xenia.

Yea i mean they were fine then they started to just stay closed. They used to branch out full then the zipped close haha. Ricorda is like the complete opposite so i know my parameters are fine

Its a Softy, these boys are finicky, and will do this form time to time. Not to worry, unless you see flesh start to dissolve away.
