Pulsing xenia not opening out or pulsing

Hi hope iv posted in the correct place.

First of all hope every one is keeping safe.

The centre is was put in my tank and was fine for like 3 days. One day didnt pulse or open so I left it for like 3 days nothing happened. I moved location from half way up the tank to the bottom but still nothing It seems a low flow area. I will attach a video. All other corals are fine water parameters are good. As you can see the elegance is doing perfect and all other stuff are to. Any information would be great.

I cannot open your picture, but it might be too close to something else. I had a problem with some Xenia that gradually stopped pulsing and eventually they began to shrivel up. They were near a frogspawn coral that began to open up wider and closer to the xenia. I moved the frogspawn and eventually the Xenia started growing back and pulsing.

pulsability of xenia is linked to pH but i dont recall what ranges produce best pulsing

theyll also stop pulsimg if the flow is high enough that they dont need to. mine wont pulse until i turn off my gyres for cleamimg or decide to do an extra long feed mode to see the motion. i sometimes dose phyto with gyre pumps off for an hour and the xenia pulse like crazy by about 30 minutes in

ID say that's entirely dependent on what you mean by crazy flow. My guys don't pulse under these conditions which is where they've been as 3 stalks from day 1 in the display. Seem to be doing ok otherwise

Those are a diff species , his video is showing Heteroxenia ( pom poms ) , not the long tenticled ones , also out of all the species in that group only some pulse ever, ever though they may look identical. The particular stain of pom pom I grow out for over 20 yrs now has always been a super active pulser and is why i chose that one as my brood for xenia .

Fair enough- I couldn't open the pic and figured he was talking about the same stuff.

I wasn't aware the non Pom Pom Xenia didnt pulse as much.

I kinda like the colony I have, but if a Pom Pom pulses strongly even under moderate flow, that might be worth a switch, aesthetically

When my Xenia quit pulsing I would turn off my skimmer and they would pulse again. The nitrates in this tank never went over 2 even without a skimmer

This is the case in my tank also. Those under a blast of current never pulse and those in mild/moderate pulse non-stop. My ph is also at 8.4 all the time. OP looks like they aren't opening much at all. Are these newly added? I've found that xenia can take several days to adjust and fully open. Watching op video seems that current isn't so strong that they wouldn't pulse.
