I have a wc coming up this weekend. Along with the wc I plan on scraping some xenia off the back glass, about the size of a dinner plate. My plan is while all the pumps are off to scrape the glass and catch the Xenia in a net to discard. What I'm asking is this straight forward scraping and removing or should I be concerned for toxins being released if any, should I scrape all at once or a little at a time, any pointers from anybody that's done it.

If it's anything like GSP, a straight edge razor and patients should do the job. Scrape it off little by little, don't let any pieces float off into the tank or you'll potentially have xenia in other spots ;)

I'll probably use a scraper that's made for removing labels from car windshields. As for floaters I'm going to keep the net close when I scrape to make sure none get away.

I suggest after scraping the Xenia off do a water change and run carbon just to be safe.
Yeah, I was going to scrape before the wc, wasn't sure of running GAC but I'll do it just in case.
