I do have some room in my budget if its needed. I just dont want to overdo it with flow. All depends on budget. There are tons if options. Powerheads will help you to get that varied/random flow that the fx6 won't
If you are going to have corals, then you will probably need more flow. There are lots of powerhead options but you can't go wrong with Tunze. They are very durable and have top notch customer service. To avoid putting too much flow in your tank, I'd consider getting a pair of the adjustable flow ones. 6040 are probably underpowered, 6055 should be good and 6095 will give you some headroom and the ability to transfer to a larger tank when you upgrade in the future. They are not inexpensive, but worth what they cost, in my opinion.I'm getting my reef tank going, and I'm looking for some help on pumps. I've got a fluval fx4 already. I'm wondering if that will be enough circulation, or will I need a power head as well?
Great I'll check them out.If you are going to have corals, then you will probably need more flow. There are lots of powerhead options but you can't go wrong with Tunze. The DC powerheads will be adjustable. It's nice to have some range here that way as corals grow in you will be able to increase flow as neededI do have some room in my budget if its needed. I just dont want to overdo it with flow.
