BLUF: Is there a benefit to having a pump behind my rockscape?
Background: I set up a 120 and my aquascape is just "rack and stack", I just built a wall that slopes to the front of the aquarium really. I had a pump I wasn't using and thought I'd just put it at the bottom center of the pile. I did create crevices and gaps between the rocks for the fish to swim through and there's plenty of room for them to do that. Is having a pump in there a bad idea? If it fails I would have to take the pile apart to get to it or just leave it in there, it's connected to my Apex so I should be able to tell by the power consumption if something changes. It is providing good flow...
