Pump Failed Now I have algae? Correlation?

i agree! It was one of those things that "I was going to get to later" but never did. I also attribute vibrant to a good preventative measure
Ive used vibrant in the past to weaken some algae but Ive always found once you have it (bad) manual removal is still the best option

I agree..During all my water changes I use a turkey baster and blow detritus off the rocks and I spray the rock with H202 and scrub with a tooth brush
 
That's the one I use.
I guess i have nothing to lose with getting it. Also brandon has helped me already with this tank when I first set it up a year ago and broke it down and restarted. Tank has been nothing but headaches and no enjoyment

Oh man, I’m not that extreme. I use eyebrow brushes :) gets all the algae by the roots and can get into the books and crannies and doesn’t let go

Thats a good idea. may have to use it.
 
Ordering an icp test and will do it when I get nack from vacation. Getting coralline growth now but definitely more gha. i guess that's because my po4 is off and fluctuating
