I have a BRS carbon media reactor. How much flow do I need through it?

I used to have a 950 gph pump on it. I can limit the flow, But I think it too big. I also have a nuvo 8, 92 gph max. I also have an aquatop 118 gph max.

Maxi-jet 1200's are a cheap pump that has the right amount of flow and last forever.

I didn't want to buy a new pump. I've been told and I've reading, carbon doesn't need a lot of flow.

Thanks for the input I'm going with the aquatop for now. It puts out 118 gph. I'll try that and reevaluate in a month.

I run a Cobalt MJ1200 (the original Maxijet before Marineland sold out to that cheap imitation), and have it throttled back. These are rated at 295 gph.

The 118 might be a bit slow, but what the hay, you have the pump, try it out!

I have a cobalt MJ900 that I can swap out on my 10g IM Fusion. I can just put the nuvo 8 pump back on. I have a RW4 in there so flow isn't a problem. That might be a better option. Thanks.
