15' head, submersible, for moving said water station to DT. Was considering this basement sump pump. Running low on funds, need economy over longevity. Only concern is ability and reef safe.....nest.

I would worry about being salt safe. Is it really that much cheaper than an appropriate sized danner mag drive?

I'm sure it has parts that will rust
I've taken apart a few of these that are pretty much all plastic except for the screws, which "could" be swapped out for stainless....

I was using a 1/6 hp sump pump to pump water from the basement for water changes. I started measuring high phosphates and ultimately narrowed it down to the pump. I now use a mag 18.

That is difficult to comprehend. Where would the phosphate come from?
