Pump for manual fill from 5 gal bucket

I just picked up a small, cheap pump to bring salt water up from a 5 gallon bucket when doing my manual water changes. However, once I got it home and opened it, I noticed it said "For freshwater use only". Since I'm only going to be running for a few minutes at time when doing my water changes, will there be any problems using it?

I’m not positive but I have one that’s supposed to be used for a pond only for my water changes and haven’t had any issues. I just clean it off after I finish and I’ve had it about 3 months and it still works.

I agree, just be sure you rinse the pump and the cord well after you use it (i.e. anything that was in the SW) and let it dry out before putting it in a drawer etc. That’s all I do with my mixing and WC pump.

Should be fine. Just run some freshwater through it before storing it.
Cant be any different than having a boat in a river then taking it into an ocean. Flush out the motor and its' ready for use again.

Agree with above. I’ve been using a pond pump to mix small batches of salt water for years.
