Looking for pump suggestion for the Pentair Aquatics 25-watt UV
Using for pest at first, not algae
Just plan to run rump to UV directly behind tank/sump, and then back into the return section.

Was debating if the Sicce 1.5 would be enough, or would need to go to Sicce 2.0
Not sure what others are using to run UV

Based on BRS recommended would be looking for ~100 gph

I can’t answer the specific question, but I can bump the thread to see if we can get you some help

I plumped it with the Sicce 1.5 and think I am getting ~180 gph

I am having an issue with a leak in the plumbing though.
I am using the white plug/reducer to soft plumbing, and think the leak is coming from where the white / black unit meet.

Do I need to glue this in place permanently?
Or is there something else I am missing here to plumb and prevent leaking?

No, I didnt use any teflon on the threads.
Just used the soft plumbing with clamps

So think I just need to add teflon tape on the threads?
And no need to glue the white-to-black hard plumbing

Most definitely need to glue the white plug to the black input of the uv! Use the green glue that's meant for pvc/abs plastic. Most hardware stores sell it. Definitely use Teflon tape for the threads as well. If that unglued fitting pops out it will drain the tank. Turn the pump and uv off asap!

Thanks for the help!
went out and got the teflon + pvc glue, and after a little tightening, UV is connected and running without leaks!

Using the Sicce 1.5 pump currently, and think I am getting more than the ~130pgh recommendation.
Will need to go out and get a 1/2 inch push value to control the flow a little.
