Pump for salt water mixing/water change

Hi y'all,

I need to replace my very old Mag-Drive 7 pump that developed a small crack on its housing. It's been a great pump for mixing saltwater, water change, etc. Since a new one is about $89 on Amazon, I am wondering if there is a less expensive options.

Do any of you have a recommendation for a durable pump with an approx. 700 gpm flow rate?

Yup...

My understanding is that these are the exact same as Sicce pumps but without the 5 year warranty.

I've heard about the Quiet One being noisy before, but noise is not a problem for water changes and mixing saltwater. I just need it to be durable.

Rio 2500 60$ Amazon. I had it running my 90 for years. After my upgrade it got demoted to water mix. Never fails

If your return pump is more than a couple of years old, then a good idea to get a new one, install it on tank, and use the old one for mixing. Then you have a tank back up pump in a pinch.
Unless you have an ehiem hobby return. Then you don’t have to worry about a failure for decades.

The bigger the pump/gph the faster it mixes

Since my sets are in the garage noise is not an issue. Jebao powerheads work good for mixing
