AquaMaxx Magnus VSB-12000 DC Water Pump by Sunpole?

Current USA eflux dc pump 6011?

Is vertex aquaristik working on a new dc pump ?
see a section on there website for a greater than 200w & lesser than 200w dc pump ?

Would love to run 2 Neptune Cor 20 pumps just don't think I can get the flow out of them.
I'm hoping someone here might have experience with one of those pumps. Or knows of a more suitable pump . Open to accept ac or dc pump.i am having a 24"x24"x86" tank built with a downstairs sump looking at around 11 feet of head pressure.I want two of these one on each return 1 1/2" pipe all the way back to the tank any info would be greatly appreciated especially if it comes from first-hand experience.I know about the abyzz,& the red dragon.but I have a hard time justifying there hefty price tag . I could go with a single larger one of their pumps or I could have two of these and have enough left over for a two spares.i am presently running a Iwaki MD-70RLT ON MY 180G that I will be replacing .my wife finds the Iwaki too loud.

I had a 210 similar setup I went with Reeflo Hammerhead gold. Call Chris at Reeflo he is very knowledgeable and always willing to help...

thank you mark for your reply .I have considered the reflow line & my understanding from the internet is that they have awesome flow at an incredible price point .I just don't feel they can meet my noise requirements .The seal needs replacement occasionally i am ok with that & trust in my abilities if i need to do so.I have to leave my tank for work on a regular basis usually for 10 days at a time up to as much as 108 days .so i think it would be a bit much to ask of my wife to replace the seal .i could get a spare & have someone swop out the pump.I just don't feel this to be the right pump for me on this build.

One of the advantages of a basement sump is to not have to worry about noise. 11 feet of head pressure is asking a lot for most DC pumps. You might be able to use something like the largest Jebao. I'm not familiar with the pumps you noted. I'm using a PanWorld 250 for a similar application.

Basement sumps are not great applications for DC pumps. I used a Laguna 2900 on mine the last time - about 110w and quiet, but might not be large enough for your application. For submerged pumps, Fluval SP6 or Laguna 4280 might be in your wheelhouse - they are built with the super reliable Askol blocks out of Italy. I also really like Iwaki, Panworld and Ampmaster for high-pressure flow and reliability. If you get a ReeFlow/Squence (which are really powerful and decent on power), get an extra seal and keep it handy... I have never had one last more than two years without needing bearings, seals or a new motor - I got to where I just use AmpMaster now and pay a bit more for a decade of reliable performance.

thank you just don't trust the quality of the jebao I have tried there wave pumps in the past

I don't disagree; however, the ability to handle high head pressure with no noise significantly reduces your options. I ran a Fluval SP4 externally for a while and really liked it; you'd have to look at the flow curves to see if it would work for your application.

thanks for the imputs
sp6 has a max head of 11'2" ,sp4 max head 10'11" just dont think they will cut it.
dont have experienc with the ampmaster pumps .looking at youtube seams ther not that quiet 83 decibls realy nead somthing quiet
apex cor 20 max head 20'
aquamaxx vsb 120000 maxhead 21'
current usa 6011 max head 20'
red dragon3 max head 30'
abyzz a200 max head 28'6"

I got about 900 GPH out of a Laguna 2900 at about 14 feet. 4250 would be a lot more than that. ...not bad at 160 watts and would probably run at less with the head loss. They are submersible and will only be noisy if you let them rattle around.

BTW - Ampmaster is about the same noise as a Sequence, Iwaki, GenX or Panworld... you can hear them some, but they are not exactly noisy. There is no heat transfer with the Ampmaster, but that should not be a problem for you in BC.
