I have a new 120g tank. I have a Mag 12 for the pump. The pump did not come with any attachments (reducers, etc.). It takes a 1 1/4 hose for the outlet on the pump but the bulkhead on the tank needs like a 1 inch hose. What are my options to make this work? Thanks!

PVC Schedule 40 Reducer Coupling - 1.25 in. x 1 in.

Ya might find the fitting at Lowes or Home Depot also.

Folks I think I figured it out. The 120g has 2 overflows and 2 returns. I can run a 1 1/4 hose off of the Mag 12 and "T" it off underneath with 1 inch hoses to each return. Sound good?

As long as the pump can handle the head pressure it a great way to go. Worst case you reduce the returns to 3/4.

From 1.25" or 1.5" down to two 1/2" is quite a reduction in size and flow. You are really choking the pump down with such small returns, that pump is capable of much more flow than that. The two 1" returns is a much better option and will not reduce the flow like 1/2" will.

Add the ball valve to reduce or fine tune the flow on the discharge side of the pump, never restrict the suction side of the pump.
