As some of you know I have a 29 gallon tank. Nothing fancy. I have 2 fans I. There right now to give some water movement. I want to upgrade to a controllable pump so I can get some nice motion and movement instead of straight line. I want to get this set up before I add corals. I am looking at the tunze nanostream 6040, Maxspect gyre f130, and the ice cap nano gyre. I want to have the pulse motion plus eliminate dead spots to keep food and waste from settling. The tank is in my bedroom about 5 feet away from my bed. Quiet is a huge plus. Any recommendations?

I’d put a gyre on the back wall. The new smaller icecap gyre looks pretty good. I run 2 maxspects myself.

When you say off the back wall do you mean the long back wall or the left wall where one of my fans is currently located?

are the gyres loud at all?
