I have a bit of an unusual plumbing situation that I need to find a pump for.

I have a setup where I want to pump water from a big holding tank through 3/4" PVC to a 3 valve manifold. From each valve I want to reduce down to 1/4" tubing and then run 3 lengths of the tubing 30 feet away. Each tubing will have multiple outlets to fill a number of tanks each. Head height for all parts wouldn't be more than 6 feet at the most.

What kind of pump should I be looking at to do this? One with more head or higher GPH? Are there any concerns with the small diameter tubing and too much back pressure?

I would prioritize head compatibility first and make a list of pumps that will be able to handle the distance/head, then you can try to select a compatible pump based on how much flow you want from there.

Thanks. The head compatibility is what I'm having trouble understanding. I'm not sure how much reducing down to the 1/4" tubing will affect the head pressure or the back pressure on the pump. I was looking at the Jebao DCP line of pumps. Because I'm only using it to fill tanks I don't need a ton of flow like a return pump. I'm guessing that 1-200 gph will be fine once head pressure etc is calculated in.
