I like about 7x or so going thru the sump. I have 20 gallon long, water coming up from the 15 gallon sump thru 1/2" PVC with an up and over straight down return- no attempt to agitate etc. Just a clean shot to return the water.
I bought a sicce 1.0 today. Did I under size? Probably not over sized... I think.
I'm hoping to not use the pump's front dial to diminish the flow, and hoping not to deploy a gate valve.
