Pump suggestion

So I was about to start cycling, the pump kick in but the pipes were leaking so I tightened them and plugged in the pump again and now it won't work. It says series 7 on there. This is 55g cube with 30gallon sump. Tank dimension 25Lx22Wx24H”. What kind of pump should I get? Another series 7? Any good brands at reasonable price. I have previoulsy used Mag 7 on my freshwatertank, they are good but expensive.

I recommend a jebao dcp 6500. Ive used it on 60g w 20g sump 2+ years now. Cleaning in bi annually.

Thanks I'll check it out. How do you clean them? Is it possible that the pump motor is clogged, as the guy from whom I bought the aquarium had it sitting for 4 months

Won't 6500 be an overkill, would the 4000 model with 1056gph flow be enough? Once think negativie that I read about jebao is that there is no warrant.

I would over size with the jebao, I don’t believe they push as much water as they claim when head pressure is involved. I clean mine with a pipe brush. I take it out scrub where I can and rinse well.

Plus then you can add a manifold and just tune the pump according. Better to have more then what you need then less with a DC pump
